Spotify And The Grateful Dead |
I noticed you can listen to the entire Europe 72 collection on Spotify, all 20-something albums and they sound great to my ears, also all of Dicks Picks are there, all the Road Trips, but not a single one of Dave's Picks, or the 1977 collection they released last year - nor some of the boxes, Winterland 73 is a notable missing entry - I wonder how this is done and who is choosing, I would really love to see the 1977 shows put up - I know Neil Young recently pulled his stuff off Spotify complaining about "poor sound quality" but frankly I think he is full of it, buy a nice set of head phones Neil and join the rest of us in the 21st century. Honestly, I stream now 50/50 between here and there and with the whole E72 catalog up, the DP series as well, that is solid entertainment in my book...
Also, nothing from the Jerry Garcia Band series at all, such as Pure Jerry, or the other live JGB collections - Where are they? There is only the old acoustic type things and stuff with Merl from 73. Someone is blocking the release of Jerry here...

Re: Spotify And The Grateful Dead |
I tried the premium service, you get better sound quality, no adverts, but no, I do not pay - though with a new job I may compensate the artists. Only fair, I played professionaly myself for years and money is nice to have, you know for rent and food.
